Sheridan Road Drive, September 12, 2021

After a hiatus during the first year of the pandemic, the club was eager to resume in 2021 the tradition of a leisurely late-summer drive along the Illinois north shore.  With COVID-19's Delta variant surging in many parts of the country, we decided to forego the usual restaurant lunch and architectural tour at our destination and opt for an outdoor picnic instead.  Fortunately a large sheltered pavilion with plenty of seating was available at Kenosha's Simmons Island Park.  The weather cooperated, and we assembled a group of 14 vehicles--8 of them 356s--and 24 people for this year's drive.

We were fortunate to have along as a guest photographer Craig Skorburg, who documented the festivities and graciously allowed us to post his work.
