Name:  Hank Weil

My car:

1964 SC coupe.

Tip-off that a 356 was the car for me:

Upon my return from Viet Nam in 1969, I purchased a 1957 356 Speedster which my wife and I dated in until we were married in 1970.

My age when I acquired my first 356:

My first 356 was a 1958 normal coupe and I was 25.

Engine type:

1600 Normal.

Miles driven per year:

200, definitely not enough.

Favorite destination:

PCA Labor Day Concours at Road America.

Fantasy road trip:

To drive the 356 to California and tour the Pacific Coast Highway.

Most inconvenient mechanical failure:

First trip in the 356 was cut short by a rear tire blow-out on one of the original tires.  I knew that I should have replaced the tires before driving it around the block.

Car I'd have if I couldn't have a 356:

Porsche Carerra GT.

What I like most about my car:

 Its color, Signal Red.

Most unique feature:

It is an original car:  paint, interior, engine and transmission with only 35K miles.

Most recent repair:

Had the carburetors remanufactured by Don Marks.

Longest drive so far:

Not far enough.

Next project with this car:

Replace rear main seal.
