Name:  Bill Kelley

My car:

1961 356B Roadster with body by D'ieteren.  I bought it from Midwest 356 member Gerry Dunn.  Thanks Gerry!

Tip-off that a 356 was the car for me:

I drove a 1958 Speedster while in high school.  It only took me 59 years to buy one!

My age when I acquired my first 356:

77.

Engine type:

1600N, brought up to Super specs with the 1720 cc kit.

Miles driven per year:

1000.

Favorite destination:

Road America.  I went there many times in high school and college.

Fantasy road trip:

Eastern Canada.

Most inconvenient mechanical failure:

Leaky fuel pump.

Car I'd have if I couldn't have a 356:

Ferrari 250 GT California. Beautiful!

What I like most about my car:

Fun to drive.

Most unique feature:

One of only 473 Porsche bodies built by D'Ieteren in 1961.

Most recent repair:

See "Leaky fuel pump."

Longest drive so far:

Kohler and Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.

Next project with this car:

Drive it until I drop over!
