1957 356A T1, Definitely an Outlaw (build date 9/7/1957). I pulled it out of a garage in 2020 where it had been sitting for 43 years under a pile of boxes, junk, and engine in the front seat. Engine has been sent out to California with Walt at Competition Engineering (at the direction of LN Engineering).
Tip-off that a 356 was the car for me:In 1982 I was 17 and saw a movie called King of the Mountain. Harry Hamlin has a 356 Cab in the movie and that's when I said I wanted one. 38 years later I got my 356.
My age when I acquired my first 356:One day after my 55th birthday (happy birthday to me).
Engine type:1963 1600 S (type 616/12) with a big bore kit.
Miles driven per year: Favorite destination: Fantasy road trip: Most inconvenient mechanical failure: Car I'd have if I couldn't have a 356: What I like most about my car: Most unique feature: Most recent repair: Longest drive so far: Next project with this car:This is my project car.
